Welding table grinder holder

So I finally got around to getting another welding table, and in my world it has to be a portable table for now (Oh how nice a shop would be!).

I picked up another Lincoln portable table, same model as the one I’d had before, and got it all assembled.

One of the many things that used to irritate was me that things are ‘never built for folks that use them!’, but now that I can weld, that doesn’t matter anymore!
I finally worked my way into a setup that I like; welder on my right side, off the table, MIG pliers in the middle, back of the table, grinders on the left side of the table, and magnets strewn about (neatly, of course!).

Well, in setting/hanging the grinders on the left I couldn’t find a nice way/place to hang them without yet another device standing over there to hold them, and I’d REALLY like to have a single unit (the portable table) to set up wherever when I need to go weld stuff somewhere else.

So, I took some scrap metal (literally some trash I found on the side of the road!) cut it up, cleaned it up, and welded it onto the table!

Yes, I know, it could be better, and I’m working on that, but it’s also one of those things where my own stuff is built for function, not for looks….

Anyway, now I have a setup I like with things where they belong, and eventually I’ll get electrical under the table and something else on the side to hold the welder!
